We are pleased to announce that Greg Brown has been appointed to the leadership teams of Vision Eye Institute and Vision Hospital Group.
Mr Brown joined the Vision Hospital Group team earlier this year as acting General Manager for our Windsor Gardens Day Surgery in Adelaide and hasn’t looked back, proving to be an excellent fit with our organisation. He brings with him over 40 years of public and private healthcare experience, including senior roles at Ramsay Health Care in Australia and overseas. As well as serving on our leadership teams, Mr Brown is now responsible for overseeing the Vision Eye Institute consulting and laser suites in New South Wales and South Australia.
In announcing the appointment, CEO James Thiedeman acknowledged the organisation’s excitement at attracting someone of Mr Brown’s capabilities and professional pedigree.
‘I am excited about working with Vision Eye Institute and Vision Hospital Group,’ Mr Brown says. ‘I believe that we can, and do, make a meaningful difference in people’s lives through our clinics and day surgery centres, given the world-class range and quality of services that we provide.’
He adds that the research initiatives supported by Vision Eye Institute’s not-for-profit research charity, the Future Vision Foundation, are a great testament to the company’s commitment to the ophthalmic sector. ‘I am impressed by the ongoing commitment and drive to improve patient care at all levels of the organisation, from the supporting staff right through to the doctors and senior management. Led by CEO Mr Thiedeman, National Medical Director Dr Lewis Levitz and a highly experienced Executive Leadership Team, Vision Eye Institute is well placed to continue meeting patients’ needs.’
‘Although the current environment remains challenging, I am delighted to help Vision Eye Institute and Vision Hospital Group continue to make a difference through the provision of our ophthalmic services to Australian communities.’
