Important COVID-19 Update
As they have since the start of the COVID pandemic, all Vision Hospital Group day surgeries remain open. Guided by our In Safe Hands program, our day surgeries have continued to observe strict social distancing and infection control measures.
If you have an upcoming appointment scheduled at one of our day surgeries and we need to reschedule your appointment due to local COVID restrictions, the day surgery staff will contact you directly.

If you are concerned about leaving home, please be assured that protecting the health and wellbeing of our patients, carers, staff and doctors remains our top priority. All facilities will continue to observe strict infection control protocols and social distancing measures to ensure a safe environment for your medical care.
Please do not attend your appointment if you are unwell, have been asked to quarantine, or reside with someone who is unwell or has been asked to quarantine.
If you are attending an appointment, we ask that you
- Let us know prior to any scheduled appointment or surgery if you:
- have returned from overseas travel in the last 14 days
- have had contact with a suspected or confirmed case of COVID-19 in the last 14 days
- have worked or volunteered at a hotel quarantine site in the last 14 days
- reside in (or have visited) a known high-risk area with a cluster of cases.
- Only attend your appointment or surgery with a maximum of one carer.
- Do not attend earlier than your appointment time.
If attending an appointment, you will be asked to read the information on the external signage and sign a declaration confirming that you meet all of the conditions prior to gaining entry. As a further safety precaution, a number of our day surgeries have implemented a concierge service to screen patients before admitting them into the facility.
Alcohol-based hand rub is available on arrival and all visitors are asked to clean their hands thoroughly on arrival. Please ensure you cover any coughs or sneezes with a tissue (and dispose of the tissue appropriately). Each of our sites undertake regular cleaning of all surfaces, with ample supplies of hand sanitiser for staff and visitors.
