Vision Hospital Group welcomes new CEO

Vision Eye Institute, Australia’s largest private ophthalmology provider and operator of eleven day surgeries through Vision Hospital Group, announced today a change in its leadership: James Thiedeman has stepped down from the position of Chief Executive Officer after more than five and a half successful years at the helm.

Simultaneously, Vision Eye Institute is thrilled to announce the appointment of Amanda Cranage, a long-standing member of the organisation, to the CEO role, effective immediately.

Mr Thiedeman’s departure marks the end of a transformative era for Vision Eye Institute. Under his guidance, the company has achieved remarkable growth, expanded its market reach and solidified its position as a leading player in the industry – despite the challenges of a global pandemic, increased healthcare costs and workforce shortages. Mr Thiedeman says it had been a privilege leading Vision Eye Institute, an organisation that transforms the lives of patients every day.

Vision Eye Institute extends its deepest gratitude to James for his exceptional leadership, dedication, and countless contributions to the organisation’s success. In this time of transition, the organisation remains steadfast in its commitment to continuous delivery of exceptional patient care.

With that commitment in mind, we welcome Amanda Cranage, a respected and accomplished leader, to her new role.
